General conditions:

  • Any member not adhering to the Association rules will have their membership removed and membership fee will not be refunded.
  • Extent of Association water is defined on the current map available from our website  www.whiteadderfishing.co.uk and can be found on the membership app. The limits must be adhered to at all times. Salmon beats are identified by association signposts.
  • Memberships are not transferrable and are exclusively for the use of the purchaser only.
  • All fishing is by fly only. Absolutely no spinning or bait fishing is allowed.
  • Fishing is on Monday to Saturday only. No Sunday fishing is permitted.
  • Anglers must carry written permission to fish either as a paper copy of the permit, a photograph of the permit, an item in your digital wallet or a current membership card. That permission as well as any fish, tackle and bags must be made available for inspection by any River Watcher, Bailiff, Police Officer or any authorised person including members of the association.
  • All Parr, smolts, Kelts and Grayling must be carefully returned.
  • Members must respect fences and property being passed over, shut gates and park sensibly as heavy farm machinery will be using the roads. No dogs are allowed on the water.
  • Please take all rubbish home with you.
  • All fish to be carefully returned to the water. Always use wet hands when handling fish. Try to unhook in the water as it is less stressful and less likely to damage the fish. If a fish has swallowed the hook, cut off the nylon rather than damage the fish. Digestive fluids and rust will eventually break down the hook.
  • Suspected pollution or poaching must be reported without delay – see below for phone numbers.
  • Only resident members are entitled to vote at the Association AGM, held early in January. Membership must be proven at the AGM for voting purposes.
